Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 11, 2026

1. Overview

LockLabs (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates as a fully non-custodial, on-chain protocol. We are committed to minimizing data collection. This Privacy Policy explains what limited data we collect, how it is used, and your rights.

Because LockLabs is a blockchain-based protocol, some information — specifically wallet addresses and transaction data — is inherently public and stored permanently on-chain. We have no control over this public blockchain data.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

LockLabs does not require account registration, email addresses, names, or any personally identifiable information (PII) to use the Protocol. The only “input” to the system is your connected wallet address, which you provide via your own wallet software (e.g., MetaMask).

2.2 On-Chain Data (Public)

All transactions on the Protocol are recorded on public blockchains (Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Polygon). This includes:

  • Wallet addresses used to create or manage locks
  • Token addresses and amounts locked
  • Lock durations and unlock dates
  • Transaction hashes and timestamps

This data is permanently public and cannot be deleted or modified by LockLabs or by you.

2.3 Automatically Collected Data

When you visit locklabs.org, our hosting provider and analytics tools may automatically collect:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referring URL
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • IP address (anonymized or hashed where possible)
  • Device type (desktop/mobile)

This data is collected in aggregate and is not linked to your identity or wallet address.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data solely to:

  • Operate and improve the LockLabs frontend interface
  • Monitor protocol performance, uptime, and error rates
  • Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve UX
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

LockLabs integrates with the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • Chainlink Oracles

On-chain price feeds for USD/native token conversion. No user data transmitted.

  • RPC Providers (Public Nodes)

Blockchain node access for reading on-chain data. Your IP may be logged by the RPC provider.

  • WalletConnect / MetaMask

Wallet connection infrastructure. Subject to their respective privacy policies.

  • Railway (Hosting)

Our API and frontend are hosted on Railway. Server access logs may be retained.

5. Cookies

We use minimal cookies strictly necessary for site functionality (e.g., theme preference, session state). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.

6. Data Retention

On-chain data is permanent and beyond our control. Off-chain server logs are retained for up to 30 days for operational purposes, then deleted. Analytics data is retained in anonymized aggregate form for up to 12 months.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights under applicable privacy law (such as GDPR or CCPA) including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Given our minimal data collection model, we hold very limited personal data.

To exercise your rights or make a data request, contact us via Telegram or Twitter (see Section 9).

Note: We cannot delete or modify on-chain blockchain data. Blockchain records are immutable by design.

8. Children's Privacy

LockLabs is not directed at persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has used the Protocol, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via our official channels at least 7 days before taking effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.
